Because our products are digital downloads delivered instantly upon payment, we maintain a carefully considered refund policy in line with South African consumer protection principles.
1. Digital Products — General Rule
As a rule, all sales of digital products are final once the download link has been delivered. By completing your purchase and receiving access to a digital file, you acknowledge that the product has been fully delivered and you forfeit the right to a standard cooling-off period refund.
This is consistent with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), which recognise that digital goods consumed or downloaded immediately are generally non-refundable.
2. When We Will Issue a Refund
We are committed to the quality of our products. We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:
- The file delivered is corrupted, unreadable, or significantly different from what was described on the product page.
- You were charged but never received a download link (technical failure on our end).
- You were accidentally charged twice for the same product.
Refund requests on these grounds must be submitted within 14 days of the purchase date.
3. What We Cannot Refund
- Change of mind after the download link has been accessed.
- Incompatibility with a specific game system or edition beyond what is described in the product listing.
- Dissatisfaction with creative choices (writing style, art direction, content tone) that are consistent with the product description and preview.
- Purchases made more than 14 days ago.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us via our Patreon page or Facebook page (links in the footer) with the following information:
- Your name and the email address used at checkout.
- The product name and date of purchase.
- Your PayFast payment reference number (found in your PayFast confirmation email).
- A brief description of the issue.
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3–5 business days. Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to reflect depending on your bank.
5. Cancellations
Because digital products are delivered immediately on payment confirmation, it is not possible to cancel an order once it has been placed and the download link issued. If you have not yet received your download link and wish to cancel, please contact us immediately.
